Derek Jeter ended his professional baseball career on a high note, leading his Yankees to a victory in his final MLB game. Playing against their biggest rival, the Boston Red Sox, the Yankees won 9-5 with Jeter hitting his 3,465th base hit -- the most in the franchise's history — and earning his 1,311th RBI. After an emotional farewell in New York last week, the 40-year-old shortstop was on the lineup for his final game as a designated hitter. After he reached base on a single, he was replaced by pinch runner Brian McCann. Jeter hugged the Red Sox pitcher and then tipped his helmet to his Yankees crowd before going back into the dugout. http://www.tvguide.com/News/Derek-Jeter-Final-Game-1087693.aspx?rss=breakingnews

On Sunday's Season 26 premiere, the long-running Fox comedy said goodbye to Krusty's father, Rabbi Hyman Krustofsky, voiced by  Jackie Mason . After the opening credits assured viewers that the anticipated death would not be Homer, the story turned to Krusty the Clown, who was depressed after being roasted by comedians. As he was visiting his disapproving father for advice, his dad dropped dead mid-sentence while saying, "You've always been ehhhh..." http://www.tvguide.com/News/Simpsons-Character-Died-1087692.aspx?rss=breakingnews

What Did the Native Americans Involved in the Daily Show's Redskins Segment Say About It?

After a woman in last week's controversial  Daily Show  segment about the Washington Redskins shared her awful experience, another participant — this time from the Native American side — is speaking out about his involvement. The segment featured correspondent Jason Jones interviewing Native American activists and Washington Redskins fans separately about the criticism over the team's name.  When one Redskins fan suggested "we need to be sitting down with the people that actually are offended," Jones brought in the group of activists. http://www.tvguide.com/News/Daily-Show-Redskins-Segment-1087691.aspx?rss=breakingnews

Storybrooke's so-called savior needs a little work.  On Sunday's Season 4 premiere of  Once Upon a Time , town sheriff Emma ( Jennifer Morrison ) couldn't quite keep order when  Frozen 's ice queen Elsa ( Georgina Haig ) hit Storybrooke and unleashed one of her angst-driven snow monsters upon the unsuspecting populace. Exclusive Ray Donovan Finale Postmortem: The Show's Latest Victim Speaks

Question: Just when I thought The Good Wife couldn't top Season 5, Season 6 is off to a humdinger of a start! I certainly didn't see Cary's arrest coming, and I can't wait to find out what they have in store for us next. Matt Czuchry is terrific, and I'm thrilled he's getting this opportunity for a meaty storyline. As opposed to a show such as The Vampire Diaries, which tore through so much plot I stopped caring (no one stays dead, so where are the stakes?), The Good Wife earns its twists and turns, and only gets better with each game-changer. http://www.tvguide.com/News/Ask-Matt-Good-Wife-Gotham-How-Get-Away-Murder-Scorpion-Castle-Forever-1087690.aspx?rss=breakingnews
